FridayEither Tarja or Niall will meet you in person on arrival at the airport and we will make our way to the hotel in our air conditioned van. On arrival to Lake Garda we are welcomed with an aperitif at the hotel's cafe bar.
SaturdayIf you need a hire bike, we take some time to set the bike up correctly for you then we hit the trails for the first time in the bella Italia. The first day is an introduction to the area, getting used to the climbs and the descents around Lake Garda. Normally we stay in Val di Gresta taking in The Snake trail.
SundaySunday is family day in Italy and the hills come alive. As we are nicely warmed up from Saturday we aim to take in a loop around Mt Velo, the mountain biking mountain. On this mountain bike ride we take in Passa Bordala and the stunning views that come with it. And don't forget to look out for the Slabness mountain bike trail; you'll know when you come to it!
MondayA much needed break from the bike after yesterday's efforts... You are on holidays after all, so why not take a massage or spend the day swimming and sunning it up by Lake Garda. Lake Garda is the outdoor sporting capital of Europe so there are plenty of activities to keep everyone one happy.
TuesdayBack in the saddle again to ride the trenches of World War 1 high on Mt Creino. This is one of the more technical bike rides in the area taking in some steep rocky descents and nice technical climbs. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then don't worry- there are many different mountain bike routes around Mt Creino so there really is something for everyone.
WednesdayThis ride is the Mt Stivo mountain bike Epic! Lots of single track, stunning views and a well earned après bike drink! Mt Stivo sits high above the northern end of Lake Garda and is full of great descents including the aptly names 666 trail.
ThursdayIt's a lovely lake side trail to finish off the holiday. Starting out on the old road Via Panale at Riva del Garda and heading up towards the Ledro valley on the western flank of Lake Garda. The first half of the ride is a climb and the second is an amazing descent. The downhill section has lots of bench cut trails with breath taking views over the lake from a height of over 1000 meters! When we get to back to Riva its ice cream time at the famous Flora Gelateria.
FridayTime to reflect on a great week's mountain bike holiday. We'll send on any pictures and videos we take, you might even make it onto the website's Gallery section or our Facebook page.
